Experimentul proeminent din Utah implică folosirea unui chatbot dezvoltat de startup-ul Doctronic, care poate efectua evaluări clinice ale pacienților și reînnoi autonom rețete pentru aproape 200 de medicamente. Office of Artificial Intelligence Policy din Utah a încheiat un acord cu Doctronic în ianuarie, însă consiliul medical a aflat despre acest acord abia după ce planul a fost pus în aplicare.

Într-o scrisoare publicată vineri, Utah Medical Licensing Board a cerut statului să oprească programul, afirmând: “Continuarea acestui acord fără consultarea consiliului medical riscă siguranța cetățenilor din Utah și reprezintă o preocupare majoră pentru consiliu.” De asemenea, au adăugat că “recomandarea fermă a consiliului medical din Utah este ca acest program să fie suspendat imediat, până la o discuție ulterioară.”
